Slate of activity includes reopening of fine dining restaurant Oreade, Chef-in-Residence program with Nancy Silverton and Missy Robbins, new full-time Wellness Center doctor, and more.
Monteverdi, the medieval-era boutique hotel nestled within the rolling hills of the Val d’Orcia, is pleased to announce the 2025 slate of programming set to commence following the property’s re-opening in March. Guests can expect to experience an array of activities across culinary, arts, and wellness, allowing them to fully embrace the beauty and culture of Southern Tuscany.
Culinary Programming
- Oreade (Spring 2025) – A newly reimagined fine-dining concept at Monteverdi is coming Spring 2025 led by Executive Chef Riccardo Bacciottini (previously at Gordon Ramsay’s Maze and Renè Redzepi’s Noma). Oreade will be an intimate 14-cover restaurant which explores Tuscany’s endless culinary history – from its timeless flavors, aromas, and traditions that have shaped the land. Seasonal menus will reflect the region’s best ingredients and be complimented by a thoughtful selection of curated and rare wines. Reservations will open in March 2025 on The Fork.
- Chef in Residence with Chefs Nancy Silverton and Missy Robbins (November 11-16) – A five-night retreat for food lovers looking for a rare opportunity to experience the true flavors of Tuscany alongside some of the world’s best chefs. From November 11-16, guests can partake in a culinary workshop lead by award-winning chefs Nancy Silverton (Osteria Mozza, Pizzeria Mozza & chi SPACCA) and Missy Robbins (Lilia, Misi, MISIPASTA) where they will participate in chef-led dinners, intimate cooking demos, wine tastings, and private epicurean excursions like white truffle foraging and cheesemaking at a local sheep’s milk farm. Booking is now available at monteverdituscany.com.
- Culinary Academy – Featuring cooking classes, tastings, and seminars at the Culinary Academy, overseen by Executive Chef Riccardo Bacciottini. Located in the village’s former school building and led by engaging and passionate instructors, including Chef Emeritus Giancarla Bodoni, the academy invites participants to socialize and share with other guests. Make pasta, from tagliatelle to ravioli and pici, or how to prepare ricotta cheese with fresh, local milk, spreading it on warm sourdough bread in its cooking classes. Guests can join wine tastings led by an in-house sommelier, wine seminars that are hosted by the most iconic winemakers of the region, or can take part in olive oil and cheese tastings that guide guests on the aromas and flavors of Tuscany. Later this year, the academy will also add chef-led pastry classes.
Wellness Programming
- Dr. Paolo Ceccarelli Joins the Wellness Center – Starting April 1st, Dr. Paulo Ceccarelli joins Monteverdi Tuscany as a permanent doctor on-site for the Wellness Center. His expertise will bring new one-time noninvasive regenerative treatments to the center, including PRP and Endolift, perfect for those looking for a quick yet effective way to uplift and refresh their skin while still being able to enjoy a trip away.
- Preventative Tests and Practices – Monteverdi Tuscany will continue its commitment to preventative practices by offering tailored treatment plans for a deeper look into personalized wellbeing – providing a real-time picture of lifestyle, nutrition, biological age (Telotest), oxidative stress, and skin health.
Arts & Culture Programming
- The Monteverdi Gallery – The 2025 gallery season opens with an exhibition by artist Oliver Lauric which brings together a series of reimagined historical sculptures spanning from the 1st to the 19th century through contemporary 3D technological innovation. Guests and visitors are invited to an opening reception featuring the artist on April 19, 2025 at 11a. The show is on view daily from 11 -7p and runs through August 3, 2025. The installation will be the first of an ongoing rotation of artists – all who embody the Monteverdi spirit of inspiration and exploration.
- The Caesar Redux Residency – A week-long residency from May 24-30 where guests can explore the world’s oldest love triangle – beauty, power, and politics. Join a series of experts as they lead discussions which will explore the intersection of music, beauty, philosophy, politics, and more. Speakers include Joseph P. Tomain (Dean Emeritus, University of Cincinnati College of Law), Neal Katyal (former Solicitor General of The United States), Victoria Morgan (Artistic Director Emeritus, Cincinnati Ballet Company), Jim Messina (Founder and Owner, The Messina Group) and Michael L. Cioffi (Founder and Owner of Monteverdi). All talks and daily meditation sessions are complimentary for hotel guests.
Guests can enjoy regular year-round programming from the Culinary Academy, monthly BBQs, free concerts, outdoor yoga classes, wine tastings/cocktail masterclasses and excursions focused on history, art, food and wine.
The spa will continue to offer luxury treatments including olive oil massages, warm ceremonies in a private Roman Bath, a 5-step water circuit featuring an underground warming pool, cryo chambers, and the ‘warrior ritual’ inspired by the practices performed on Roman gladiators.
