Radisson RED London Twickenham combines rugby with art, to provide existing and budding artists with a platform to showcase their talent through an exciting competition
Those successful will win a prize valued in excess of £1,000
Having officially opened its doors after an extensive refurbishment, Radisson RED London Twickenham has launched an artwork competition which recognises and provides a platform for talent to showcase their artistic prowess.
In recognition of one of the hotels’ three key pillars – Design with Attitude – which represents a vibrant atmosphere that taps into cultures that resonate with the location and community, the competition aims to support local artists from the region and beyond, providing them with a platform to showcase their talent.
As part of the hotel’s six premium suites, which consist of the two Rose Suites and four Legend’s Suites, along with the hotel’s six ‘Pitch View Boardroom Hospitality Suites’, the team at Radisson RED are looking to celebrate and honour the legacy of some of the world’s finest rugby players throughout history. The hotel suites provide guests with a spacious lounge and separate bedroom area, allowing them to entertain, set up a temporary office, or simply enjoy the additional space to relax in, with the A0-sized artwork set to be hung in pride of place in the suite’s lounge area. The Pitch View Hospitality Suites are situated on the 6th floor and are enjoyed by guests on Match Day, all of these Hospitality Suites have a balcony to enjoy the match from, and an interconnecting bedroom for overnight stays.
With each suite set to be named after an England rugby legend, the winning artwork will be reflective of that individual or rugby more widely, in a way that is in-keeping with the Radisson RED brand. These legends include: Gillian Ann Burns, Sarah Hunter, Jason Leonard, Will Carling, Bill Beaumont, Dylan Hartley, Ronald Cove-Smith, WJD Davies, Eric Events, Ronald William Poulton-Palmer, William Wavell Wakefield and Norman Atherton Wodehouse.
The winning artists will receive a night’s stay in the respective suite for which they have created artwork for, along with a meal for 2 in the adjoining Huddle restaurant (total prize value in excess of £1,000), as well as wider profiling opportunities
The competition is open to those aged 16 to 25.
Sandeep Kaushik, General Manager at Radisson RED London Twickenham, commented: “Culture and art more specifically will feature heavily throughout the hotel in terms of its design and finishes. This competition is just one of the ways that we want to support the local community and the future generation of talent, who will be able to see their artwork hung in pride of place in the hotel’s suites, where others can also admire and enjoy their works.”
Those wishing to enter will need to submit their artwork ahead of the deadline on Saturday 28th February 2026, to Art.LAS@RadissonRED.com.
