Hotel Gotham Newcastle has opened its doors, bringing new energy to one of the city’s most iconic buildings. The former fire station has been transformed into a 57-bedroom luxury hotel – stylish, bold and full of personality, with all the signature charm.
As the North East’s first five-star hotel, it marks a striking new chapter for Newcastle – launching its debut overnight package, Fire & Ice, designed to bring the heat as winter begins to settle over the city.
Available from November, the new package is priced at £200 per room per night and includes bed and breakfast, a bottle of Gotham Prosecco served on ice and a fiery chilli-inspired treat – Gotham’s playful take on fire and ice. Chili chocolate created especially for Hotel Gotham Newcastle by local chocolatier studio 28.
The concept leans into the seasonal shift, celebrating the crispness of the North East air with a promise of indulgent warmth and glamour inside Gotham’s Art Deco walls. Whether for a stylish city break, an indulgent staycation or the perfect excuse to escape the chill, Fire & Ice is billed as the ultimate way to experience Newcastle’s newest luxury destination.

Set within the transformed 1920s fire station on Pilgrim Street, Hotel Gotham Newcastle is a landmark opening for the city. Combining iconic heritage with art deco glamour, the hotel offers 57 bedrooms, two restaurants, FIRE bar and the members-only Club Brass.
