Dean Culpan has been named general manager of Miiro Templeton Garden, marking a new chapter in his career after more than three years at South Place in the City of London.

Dean joins the Earl’s Court hotel from the Evolv Collection’s South Place, where he served as general manager in Moorgate. He now moves to Miiro Templeton Garden, which opened in April last year as the first UK property for lifestyle brand Miiro. The group launched simultaneously in several European destinations, including Paris, Barcelona and Gstaad.

He succeeds Nicola James, who led the opening of the 156-room hotel. Templeton Garden also features a café and deli, a modern British restaurant, a cocktail bar and the brand’s signature Refresh Room.

“After a long and thoughtful search, it was essential to find a culture that truly aligns with my values – a shared moral compass, clear ambition and a genuine commitment to people and purpose. Templeton Garden feels like home, and I’m incredibly pleased to be joining a business whose ethos and vision resonate so strongly with what I want to achieve.”

Dean brings wide-ranging international experience to the role, having previously worked at properties including Atlantis in the Bahamas, the Royal Mirage in Dubai, Chelsea Harbour Hotel, and across IHG Hotels & Resorts.

Miiro is led by chief executive Neena Gupta, formerly executive director of group strategy and international hospitality at InterGlobe Enterprises, the owner of the Miiro brand.
