JA Mar Hall Golf & Spa Resort celebrates its first winter since its £20 million refurbishment with new festive stays. Set within 240 acres of woodland on the banks of the River Clyde, the five-star resort invites guests to experience the best of Scottish Christmas and Hogmanay.
Mar Hall’s festive programme features three tailored stays – the Christmas Retreat, the Hogmanay Package and the Seasonal Retreat. Blending traditional warm Scottish hospitality with relaxed luxury, the festive stays feature a mulled wine drinks reception, seasonal dining across The Gallery and The Dining Room, live music, unlimited spa access and time to unwind on the estate with cosy afternoons and fireside evenings.
Underpinning the festive season, Mar Hall’s iconic Hogmanay Gala Ball remains the highlight of the winter calendar, with fireworks against the spectacular Kilpatrick Hills and a pipe band at midnight.
CHRISTMAS AT MAR HALL
The Christmas Retreat spans two or three nights from 24th December. Guests arrive to mulled wine and mince pies before a three-course Christmas Eve dinner with live music in The Gallery. Christmas Day is centred around gastronomy – a full Scottish breakfast is followed by champagne and canapés and a refined Christmas lunch in The Dining Room, culminating with a relaxed country estate buffet and live music. A Boxing Day breakfast is served throughout the morning for guests to enjoy before departure, and for those staying for three nights, the celebrations continue with a traditional roast lunch, laid-back evening dining, and a final farewell breakfast.

HOGMANAY PACKAGE
The Hogmanay Package runs from 30th December to 2nd or 3rd January. It begins with a champagne welcome and three-course dinner with live music in The Gallery. On Hogmanay itself, guests enjoy a four-course Gala Dinner in The Pavilion then join the Gala Ball, complete with a DJ, fireworks and a traditional pipe band at midnight. New Year’s Day includes breakfast, Afternoon Tea and a relaxed dinner; guests checking in for three-nights can enjoy additional dining on 2nd January before departing on 3rd January.

Also referred to as the Festive Interlude, the Seasonal Retreat is a one night stay designed for those seeking respite between Christmas and New Year. It includes a restful night’s stay in a luxurious bedroom, full access to the spa’s leisure suite – with swimming pool, saunas, steam rooms and gym – and a full Scottish breakfast.
