INNOVATIVE ASSET MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS FROM TRAKA ON DISPLAY AT INDEPENDENT HOTEL SHOW

Traka, an ASSA ABLOY company and the global leader in intelligent management solutions for keys and equipment, is exhibiting its market-leading asset control technology at the Independent Hotel Show in London on 5-6 October. Among the solutions at Stand #1815 will be Traka’s intelligent key cabinets and modular locker systems, which are being utilised by hotels worldwide to streamline operations.

Traka is empowering hotel operators to manage keys, badges and fobs effectively through its line of intelligent key cabinets, which integrate into a hotel’s main access control platform. Managers designate who has access to which asset, monitor who removed which asset and when, and be notified when it hasn’t been returned by a certain time. At the show will be Traka’s Touch Core and Touch Pro cabinets, which are reducing downtime in the distribution and return of access control assets and provide a comprehensive, real-time audit trail of all usage. They’re also helping hotel managers decentralise asset management so employees within certain areas (i.e., guest services, food & beverage, maintenance) have assets nearby that only apply to their needs. This eliminates the chance of employees accessing assets they’re not authorised for, and reduces the time spent traveling from one part of the hotel to the other just to retrieve one.

Also on display in the IH London stand will be Traka’s new Flexible Asset Detection Locker. In addition to keys, badges and fobs, hotel staff often use a mix of shared personal devices like smartphones, tablets, radios and scanners. Just like with access control assets, it’s critically important to manage these devices efficiently to avoid costly lost or stolen devices, especially those that contain sensitive information. The Flexible Asset Detection Locker solves for this need by serving as a secure storage resource that allows employees to return any device to any compartment. Each device is RFID-tagged, so the locker recognises when it’s removed and returned. That information is kept in a real-time log, so managers can see who’s responsible for which device. It ultimately provides flexibility to hotel operators and their staff, who can efficiently manage and store any shared device at any time.

Traka representatives will be providing personal demonstrations of its technology throughout the show, and educating attendees about how it’s integrating with other ASSA ABLOY companies like Vingcard to further serve hotel operators’ needs. TRIPLEBOND: LONDON’S FIRST SOCIAL WELLNESS MEMBERS CLUB WITH ROOFTOP POOL

Home to a social wellness ecosystem designed for activation, restoration and connection

triplebond, a pioneering, science-backed members club crafted for individual and collective shared wellness, is now open in Marylebone.

Home to Marylebone’s first rooftop pool and a collection of skyline spaces, triplebond blends cutting-edge wellness, performance optimisation and restorative experiences into one seamless destination. Opened on 26 August 2026, it is redefining the intersection of social connection and modern wellness. Set within The BoTree, a vibrant five-star hotel where Marylebone, Mayfair and Soho connect, triplebond is available to members and hotel guests.

Activation

At the heart of the activation spaces is The Bassment - a one of a kind, beat-led hot fitness studio - running a timetable of innovative new classes, crafted around rhythm, tempo and music, from high-impact, sweat-drenched sessions, to down-tempo strength work, barre, stretch-led recovery, and breath-led formats. The studio has been created with inbuilt infrared technologies for hot classes - to warm muscles faster, increase flexibility, and boost calorie burn. Outside of class times, members and guests have access to the space for free-flow movement.

The Fire & Ice Circuit completes the activation experience - infrared sauna with state-of-the-art photobiomodulation panels supporting cellular recovery, detoxification and mitochondrial activation, alongside the cold plunge. Further contrast therapy options are available including Monk Ice Bath’s paired with full standing red light panels.

A rooftop gym, in partnership with Technogym, offers state-of-the-art equipment, including the Technogym Checkup - a comprehensive tool for holistic assessment and member onboarding.

Restoration

triplebond’s Red Light Lounge taps into the science of cellular recovery and recalibration, with a red light therapy bed to support circadian rhythm resynchronisation and reduce inflammation - in turn combatting oxidative stress and boosting cellular recovery. The Lounge is home to the Jet Lag Circuit - where AYO light glasses and in-ear circadian synching therapy devices further anchor the internal clock through light-based and auditory cues. Lymphatic compression therapy further combats the swelling and circulatory slowdown associated with jet lag, creating a full body reset for travellers, or those that just need to reset.

A social Lymphatic Lounge, designed with Hyperice, centres on professional-grade lymphatic compression - reducing inflammation, clearing metabolic waste, and improving circulation, in a social environment. A full salt wall and circadian-aware lighting create a space that deepens the sense of calm and matches the body’s natural rhythms. Optional IV therapies and red light masks are also offered, to further enhance the wellness experience.

The Decompress Lounge presents an antidote to the overstimulation of modern life. Zero-gravity massage chairs suspend the body in a feeling of complete weightlessness, allowing the spine to decompress and muscles to release. Weighted blankets and eye masks seal out the outside world, whilst a frequency-based soundscape and vagus nerve stimulation device complete the overarching sense of calm, activating the parasympathetic nervous system and telling the body it’s time to rest and recover.

Completing the restoration offering are:

- Private hyperbaric oxygen chamber (to enhance the body’s natural healing)

- Hydration stations featuring hydrogenated water and electrolyte pumps

- A dedicated space for private contrast therapy circuit

- A full body cryotherapy chamber with standing red light panel

- Ice Bath and Red Light Recovery Room

- A dedicated treatment room hosting rotating pop-up experiences

Connection

Alongside the activation and restoration ecosystem a selection of social spaces offer opportunity for connection and community.

Two floors comprising Marylebone’s first rooftop pool, pool terrace, bars and social spaces with a full set of programming of events, all set within the intimate backdrop of skyline views.

The ground floor café on Marylebone Lane is the social heartbeat of triplebond: a day-to-night destination running from morning coffee and post-workout fuel through to evening social hours. Serving healthy snacks, cold-pressed juices, smoothies, salads, wraps and more, all underpinned by a nutritionist-designed menu built to fuel, restore, and nourish across every moment of the day.

Wellness Concierge

triplebond has partnered with Stride to offer a new triplebond Health Concierge - where members undergo comprehensive diagnostic assessment, with results delivered with actionable insights. The results are built from an analysis of over 500 different biomarkers across advanced blood testing, DNA profiling, gut microbiome markers and biological age.

Members are able to book a dedicated complimentary online session with triplebond’s Integrative Health Practitioner for a detailed private consultation experience, informed by their biomarker data, to review their results and set their own personalised protocol for data-led health and wellbeing optimisation.

In-Room Wellness

Across the hotel, in-room minibars have been reimagined for the wellness-conscious traveller, incorporating healthy, restorative and nutritious snacks as well as professional-grade recovery essentials for those who travel without their usual wellness or supplement toolkit. A new in-room technology rental menu brings compression boots, red light face masks and more to any room, on request.

“Science has long told us that the benefits of human connection and belonging are as vital to our long-term health outcomes as sleep, movement and nutrition. Yet the places we go to take care of ourselves often ask us to come alone and to fit a session into a busy day. We know that wellness is no longer a solo pursuit to be squeezed into your calendar when the moment allows. We set out to create a fully integrated social wellness experience, where belonging, human connection and vitality are the foundation, and state of the art wellness, recovery and performance treatments, services and protocols layer on top” - Louise Rumball, creator of vision and concept at triplebond.

“We’re delighted to open triplebond. This is a completely new social wellness ecosystem, where activation, restoration and connection come together under one roof. Every element has been designed to be both deeply effective and inherently social, integrating cutting-edge, science-backed wellness experiences with vibrant social spaces” - Liliana Gutierrez, director of wellness at triplebond.

“triplebond is an incredible new addition to The BoTree. We are creating a destination that reflects how people want to live, travel, and connect today”

- Eva Mount, general manager at The BoTree.

A vibrant and high-energy hotel that offers more than just a place to stay, The BoTree is where London’s unique energy comes alive with vibrant connections. triplebond joins the property’s existing offering, alongside 200 rooms and suites, coastal Italian restaurant LAVO, events space and nightlife venue 77, and more.

NORTHERN HOTELIERS VOICE CONCERNS IN FINAL SET OF 2026 UK ROUNDTABLE ROADSHOW

Industry podcast hits South Yorkshire and County Durham to tackle the future of hospitality as the 2026 tour concludes

South Yorkshire hoteliers tackle critical regional issues, including the true profitability of the staycation market, impending holiday taxes, rising utility costs, and automation strategies. Dan Vine, Kenwood Hall Hotel, Regional GM of Vine Hotels urges the industry to support each other to help meet the demands of today’s guests.

County Durham edition to address the region's hospitality talent pipeline, guest acquisition costs, and the practical application of AI. Daniel Rich, GM of Redworth Hotel, emphasises the focus on collaboration and education to improve the sector as an educational career.

Hoteliers’ Voice, the premier UK podcast for hospitality professionals, is set to conclude its 2026 nationwide Roundtable Roadshow dates with two high-impact events in the North of England. Following a string of sell-out sessions across the Midlands and South, the roadshow heads to South Yorkshire and County Durham this September to navigate the evolving landscape of hospitality and staycation tourism.

Kenwood Hall Hotel plays host to the South Yorkshire edition in partnership with Vine Hotels on Tuesday 8th September, 9am - 2pm. Anticipated to be one of the largest events in the series to date, the roundtable will bring together senior hospitality leaders to discuss critical regional issues, including the role of tourist boards and councils in destination promotion and the questionable profitability of the UK staycation market. Panelists will also tackle the operational pressures of rising utility costs and explore practical, bottom-line benefits of automation.

Dan Vine, Regional GM of Vine Hotels said;

“One of the things about our industry is we don’t talk enough and our industry’s changed so much in recent years. This is a chance to share best practices and understand how we can all team up to deal with the challenges the industry poses, like; Has the staycation market actually benefited us? How can we deal with ever increasing costs like utilities and food? How are we using automation for things like payroll controls? How can we support each other and match the demands of our guests?”

The tour then travels to the Redworth Hall Hotel of the Cairn Group to host the County Durham Edition on Thursday 10th September, 9am - 2pm. A key focus of this session will be the hospitality talent pipeline, featuring contributions from local colleges on encouraging a new generation into the sector. Industry experts will also delve into guest acquisition costs, managing increasingly short booking lead times, and the appropriate application of AI to enhance - rather than hinder - the guest experience.

Daniel Rich, GM, Redworth Hall Hotel said:

“I’m looking forward to talking about education and hospitality and how we work together to improve the sector as an educational career. We’ll have people from the local colleges and hospitality community to talk about how we can get new staff into the industry. We’ll also have our graduate students joining us to share their experiences. It’s important to understand the regional challenge and our market place - the staycation market has been strong but how can we work together and collaborate?”

"In connecting people regionally, we are creating a nationwide movement for positive change," says Ryan Haynes, Director and Podcast Host. "These final stops in the North are vital for addressing the specific challenges faced by regional operators, from engaging new talent to balancing technology with authentic service. It’s been a learning journey as we discover different initiatives across the country from engaging with schools with hospitality, to building formidable experiences, to how to handle guest safety in the wake of the Travelodge incident.”

The Roadshow is backed by HOSPA (the Hospitality Professionals Association) and features Hospitality Action as its official charity partner. The events are made possible through the support of Platinum Sponsor Oracle, alongside supporting (Gold) Focus on Hospitality by Focus Group and Rory’s Travel Club, as well as (Silver) Net Affinity, Studio Moren, and KeyStep.

Attendance remains free for hotel and hospitality operators. Interested parties are encouraged to book early and enquire via the Hoteliers’ Voice website to secure a seat at these final intimate sessions. Highlights from the sessions will be published on Hoteliers’ Voice podcast across Spotify, Apple, and YouTube.

HYPNOS CELEBRATES 25 YEARS OF THE EDEN PROJECT

British bedmaker Hypnos is continuing its partnership with the Eden Project.

Since it began its partnership with the Eden Project in 2019, luxury British bedmaker Hypnos, has been supporting the charity’s mission to inspire positive action for the planet. Starting as one of a handful of carefully chosen commercial partnerships for the charity; Hypnos has played an active role in the project through fundraising, events and the development of unique product collaborations.

Now, as the charity celebrates its 25th year, Hypnos and the Eden Project are delighted to announce the continuation of the partnership, as they deliver the message of tangible change through the products that consumers buy. The Eden Project has celebrated this anniversary with a special Garden Party, an innovative garden at the Chelsea Flower Show, and the ground-breaking ceremony at the charity’s new £100 million Morecambe attraction, set to open in 2028.

Over the course of the partnership with the Eden Project, Hypnos has generated funds in support of the charity through staff fundraising and new mattresses created in partnership with the Eden team.

Product development began with the creation of the Soil Association certified Origins Organic Collection, that won a Best of Organic Market (BOOM) Award in 2023, swiftly followed by the Luxurious Earth collection with Bensons for Beds, both endorsed by the charity.  Hypnos then launched the Eden Project mattress collection - mattresses upholstered with simply plant-based fibres - some of which can be found living within the Eden Projects’ Biomes in Cornwall.  In 2024, Hypnos introduced the Eden Project Harmony mattress which brings the same plant-based fibres and combined with RWS certified British wool, to both luxury and sustainable hospitality projects, including Voco Zeal Exeter, IHG’s first net zero carbon hotel.

Hypnos has also introduced its local charity partner Chiltern Rangers, who work on community conservation projects across the Chilterns hills, to a workshop at the Eden Project, and supported Eden’s national community campaign The Big Lunch at its offices.

David Baldry, managing director, Hypnos, says,

“At its heart, this is a partnership between a team of people who share a vision and drive to make tangible, positive actions for the planet, whilst creating opportunities to bring communities and people together.

The Eden Project partnership has seen Hypnos raise funds and promote the charity through its products, events and campaigns, and involving its whole team and customers.  The charity’s garden on the Hypnos stand at the industry’s annual exhibition is always a talking point!  We are grateful for the Eden Project’s expertise and sense of fun at all levels but more than this, we all work hard to create a leading and successful ‘commercial’ charity partnership.

We are excited to take part in these 25th anniversary celebrations with the Eden Project but also celebrate our own 7th year working together and put plans in place for the future.”

Andy Jasper, chief executive officer, Eden Project, says,

“There has never been a better time to celebrate our long standing partnership with Hypnos. It’s a fantastic relationship built around our shared commitment to regenerative approaches to community and the environment, supporting Eden’s work enriching life while demonstrating what is possible when working with nature.

What makes it particularly special is the connection back to Eden itself, linking the plants and natural fibres we grow and champion with the materials used to create the Eden mattress collection. As we celebrate our 25th anniversary, we’re delighted to continue our partnership with Hypnos and excited about what we will achieve together next.”
