Le Grand Tour debuts at Design Week
Hotel accessory collection designed by Campbell-Rey for Palatino, part of La Bottega Collective.
Presented in the La Bottega Collective, Via della Spiga home alongside objects from Brun Fine Arts.
This Salone del Mobile 2026, La Bottega Collective presents Le Grand Tour, a capsule collection of travel accessories designed by London-based studio Campbell-Rey for Palatino - inspired by the golden age of travel and conceived for high hospitality and the international connoisseur. La Bottega Collective opens its Milanese home in Via della Spiga to the presentation curated by Campbell-Rey with objects from Brun Fine Arts.

Campbell-Rey approached the presentation as both designers and storytellers, shaping a setting where contemporary pieces meet a precise selection of Grand Tour memorabilia curated with Brun Fine Arts for provenance and presence. The edit, interwoven with the contemporary design objects, guides visitors through an intimate sequence that offers the key to the designers’ inspiration.
The narrative draws on the Grand Tour as a rite of passage, as it offered formation as much as travel, an encounter with art, manners, landscapes, and ideas, and a return anew. Two signature stripes run through the capsule as a quiet emblem of motion like train tracks or ski lines - a refined trace of departure, passage, and arrival.
The capsule collection consists of pieces a travelling collector and connoisseur would take with them from the best imaginary hotels on their Grand Tour around Europe - such as a garment bag, a carry on weekender, a pair of slippers, a jewellery case, and a vide-poche in materials such as pressed leather, tigers eye, marble, lapis lazuli and velvet in jewel- tone colours like ruby red, olive green, fuchsia, and burgundy.
The collection is the embodiment to Campbell-Rey’s and Palatino’s shared commitment to state-of-the-art making, material intelligence, and detail, where utility carries elegance and form carries purpose.
“The original Grand Tour was never simply about travel and geography - it was about education through beauty, with a sense of adventure, and the spirit of youth” says Duncan Campbell and Charlotte Rey, cofounders of Campbell-Rey. “We wanted to create a collection that enabled that type of spirit in modern travel with pieces collected from legendary hotels one would stay in along the way. Working with Brun Fine Arts allowed us to root the capsule in authentic historical context, while Palatino gave us the opportunity to translate that spirit into objects that live within hospitality.”
“We have always believed that objects within hospitality should carry cultural meaning, not just function says Tommaso Pacini, CEO & Founder of La Bottega Collective. Le Grand Tour reflects this idea of travel as formation, where movement becomes a source of knowledge, taste, and identity. Through Palatino, together with Campbell-Rey and Brun Fine Arts, we have created a collection that exists between worlds - hotel and home, past and present, designed to accompany a life well-travelled and to gather meaning over time.”
Held within La Bottega Collective’s Milanese home, the exhibition reflects the broader vision: to curate guest experience. Across its portfolio: beauty essentials, textiles, linens, luxury objects and accessories and bespoke design, La Bottega Collective curates the objects that define a guest’s most intimate rituals. Le Grand Tour exemplifies this philosophy, transforming travel accessories and suite objects into narrative touchpoints that extend beyond the stay.

OPEN FIRE, OPEN SKIES: GARDEN GATHERINGS RETURN TO DOWN HALL HOTEL, SPA & ESTATE
This summer, Down Hall Hotel, Spa & Estate invites guests to step outside for something far removed from the traditional Sunday lunch, as its Garden Gatherings return to The Woodland Table — an immersive open-air dining experience shaped by seasonality, smoke and open flame.
Taking place across four Sundays on 28th June, 19th July, 16th August and 6th September, these one-of-a-kind open-air feasts unfold within the estate’s alfresco dining concept, The Woodland Table. Beneath open skies and surrounded by the living larder of the two-acre kitchen garden, long organic tables carved from Down Hall’s own felled trees are set among gently smouldering fire pits, with live music drifting through the afternoon air.

Led by Executive Chef Robert Pearce, the experience showcases flame cooking with menus shaped by the fresh produce growing in the hotel’s two-acre kitchen garden and sourced from trusted local suppliers. Prepared in full view and designed for sharing, the dishes draw depth from smoke and char to bring a sense of place to every course.
Every Garden Gathering begins with estate-inspired cocktails and canapés, before chefs introduce the inspiration behind the four-course surprise menu. Guests can expect the likes of grilled hispi cabbage with houmous, and creamed taramasalata to start, with mains of fire-kissed lamb rump, miso-glazed cauliflower, and wood-charred Chalk Farm trout, followed by desserts such as toasted pavlova with rhubarb compote.
Throughout, seasonal cocktails crafted with Down Hall’s own gin and vodka are infused with freshly picked herbs from the kitchen garden echoing the landscape that surrounds the table.
More than a meal, Garden Gatherings at The Woodland Table offer a chance to dine within the rhythm of the estate itself, where ingredients travel metres, not miles, and Sunday afternoons unfold to the scent of woodsmoke, live music and the warmth of open flame.
Tickets are priced at £90 per person, which includes four courses and a cocktail each. To book, please visit www.downhall.co.uk/upcoming-events/garden-gatherings-at-the-woodland-table.
LLECHWEN HALL HOTEL SECURES £2.3M BARCLAYS FUNDING TO SUPPORT NEXT PHASE OF GROWTH AND REFURBISHMENT
Llechwen Hall Hotel has secured a £2.3 million commercial mortgage facility from Barclays Business Bank to support a significant programme of investment and position the business for its next phase of growth.
The independently owned Welsh hotel has built a strong reputation over nearly two decades, expanding from a 20-bedroom property into a 44-bedroom venue and becoming a well-established destination for leisure stays, corporate events and weddings. The business now hosts up to 150 weddings a year, reflecting its growing profile within the regional hospitality market.
The funding will be used to undertake targeted capital investment across the property. This includes upgrades to core infrastructure such as the hotel’s water system, alongside the refurbishment of guest bedrooms and bathrooms to enhance the overall guest experience.
The investment comes at a time when the hospitality sector has faced sustained pressure, with operators navigating rising costs and a challenging trading environment. Against this backdrop, Llechwen Hall has continued to grow steadily and invest in its long-term future, now supported by a team of more than 100 staff.

Coca-Cola Set to Replace Pepsi Across Marriott’s Global Portfolio
In a significant shift for the hospitality sector, The Coca-Cola Company has secured a new agreement with Marriott International to become its exclusive beverage partner, bringing an end to the hotel group’s decades-long relationship with PepsiCo.
Under the new deal, Coca-Cola’s product range will be rolled out across Marriott’s extensive global footprint, which includes more than 9,700 properties spanning 143 countries. Guests can expect to see Coca-Cola beverages featured in lobby bars, mini-markets, in-room minibars, soda fountains, and across catering for meetings and events.

The move marks the conclusion of a 34-year partnership between Marriott and PepsiCo, a relationship that began in 1992 when Pepsi replaced Coca-Cola as the chain’s beverage supplier. That earlier transition followed Coca-Cola’s decision not to participate in a substantial financing arrangement proposed by Marriott at the time.
The latest development represents another chapter in the long-running rivalry between the two beverage giants. With largely overlapping product portfolios, competition between Coca-Cola and PepsiCo has often played out through high-profile partnerships such as this one. For Coca-Cola, the Marriott agreement offers not only global visibility but also a meaningful boost in brand exposure among international travellers.
Industry observers note that similar switches have sparked strong consumer reactions in the past. When Culver’s transitioned from Pepsi to Coca-Cola several years ago, loyal customers voiced notable dissatisfaction. However, Coca-Cola has indicated that Marriott’s decision was driven by guest preferences, citing demand for its broader “total beverage portfolio.”
How Marriott guests will respond to the change remains to be seen, but the transition underscores the growing importance of beverage strategy as part of the overall guest experience in the hotel industry.
Classic British Hotels Captures Silver Screen Magic with Addition of Holdsworth House to its Yorkshire Collection
HALIFAX, UK – Classic British Hotels is delighted to welcome a true icon of Yorkshire heritage, Holdsworth House Hotel & Restaurant, a stunning 17th-century Jacobean manor, to its curated collection, strengthening the brand’s footprint in a region increasingly defined by high end heritage tourism and a booming "Screen Tourism" economy.
Set within three acres of secluded walled gardens, this family-owned Grade II listed manor has long been a "best kept secret" for production crews and A list talents. The hotel’s proximity to the wild Brontë moors and its authentic period features – including stone mullioned windows and oak-panelled halls – provided the perfect atmospheric backdrop for those bringing Emily Brontë’s 2026 adaptation to life.

"Holdsworth House is more than just a hotel; it is a living piece of Yorkshire history,"
said Phillip Allsopp, Managing Director of Classic British Hotels.
"The fact that it continues to be the first choice for world class directors and actors is a testament to its unique character. It offers a level of privacy, heritage, and quiet luxury that is increasingly rare, making it a powerhouse asset within our curated collection."
A Legacy of Star-Studded Hospitality
The stay of the Wuthering Heights team is the latest in a long line of cultural milestones for the hotel. From hosting The Beatles in 1964 to serving as a key location for modern masterpieces like Riot Women, Happy Valley, Gentleman Jack, and Last Tango in Halifax, Holdsworth House has become a cornerstone of the West Yorkshire screen boom.
"We take great pride in being a home-away-from-home for the creative community,"
said Chris Meehan, General Manager of Holdsworth House.
"Whether it’s a director seeking the quiet of our parterre gardens or a lead actor looking for a discreet retreat after a filming on the moors, our team is expert at providing that seamless, high-end service. Our connection to Wuthering Heights feels particularly special, given our close proximity to Brontë Country."
Key Highlights of the Hotel:
- Distinctive Meetings & Events: Beyond its cinematic appeal, the manor provides an inspiring, semi-rural setting for corporate meetings, training days, and residential events. With several inspiring spaces, the hotel accommodates up to 120 delegates, blending 17th-century character with 4-star professional service.
- Jacobean Splendour: Built in 1633, the 33-room hotel retains original features like its beautiful stained-glass windows, Maltese Cross and famous ‘Witch’s Cupboard’, offering a unique "sense of place" for leisure and business guests alike.
- Award-Winning Gastronomy: The restaurant serves locally sourced Yorkshire cuisine across three cosy dining rooms.
- The Gateway to the Moors: Located less than 8 miles from Haworth and the Brontë Parsonage Museum, Holdsworth House serves as the ultimate base for literary and film enthusiasts.
This strategic partnership ensures that Holdsworth House benefits from the strategic sales and marketing powerhouse of Classic British Hotels, while maintaining the family run charm that has defined the estate since 1963.
