Luxe hotel named Best Newcomer at Prestige Awards and Makes The Times 100

Scotland’s newest luxury hotel The Address Glasgow has swept up this awards season, taking home Best Newcomer at 2024’s Prestige Hotel Awards, with in-house restaurant North receiving a Highly Recommended in the F&B category, as well as being named amongst the Top 100 places to stay in the UK by The Times.

Ahead of World Design Day on 27th April, The Address Glasgow made a new entry on The Times 100 places to stay list, which analyses criteria like interior design, value for money, sustainability and F&B offering. Listed as the only Scottish hotel under Boutique Hotels of the Year, The Address is listed amongst some of the UK’s very best hotels. The Times highlighted the hotel’s minimalist design, city centre location and North’s hyper-local food offering, as well as its friendly staff and sustainability; with the hotel entirely powered by 100% renewable energy.

The Prestige Hotel Awards recognises outstanding service within Scotland’s hotel industry and crowned the Renfield Street hotel as ‘Best Newcomer’, beating out competition from across the country. Officially opening its doors in March, the four star hotel has impressed guests with its elegant luxury and bespoke touches.

The Address Glasgow’s team attended a glittering prize giving ceremony on 18th April to receive their awards.

Located in the heart of Glasgow’s city centre, the six storey hotel includes in-house cocktail eatery North, a state of the art guest exclusive wellness centre and Scottish themes throughout.

North received its own nod at the Prestige Awards, with a Highly Recommended for ‘Scotland’s Best Hotel Bar’. The 70 seater cocktail bar and restaurant caters to all with casual dining, modern dishes and a focus on seasonal, sustainable produce. With marble topped tables, ambient lighting and a striking bar, it’s the perfect spot for pre-show cocktails or a nightcap. From Smoking Negronis to Salted Caramel Espresso Martinis, North’s cocktail menu is sure to satisfy.
