Sanctuary Cap Cana, a Luxury Collection All-Inclusive Resort in the Dominican Republic has opened its doors as the first luxury all-inclusive resort for Marriott International and the Luxury Collection, joining the celebrated ensemble of experiential hotels by this iconic brand.

The storied adults-only hotel is now fully open to guests following a four-month renovation in the aftermath of Hurricane Fiona, which hit just as the resort joined the All-Inclusive by Marriott Bonvoy portfolio as its 30th property in September 2022.

With a commitment to elevating the all-inclusive concept with unparalleled amenities and diverse culinary options, Marriott International – in collaboration with hotel developer Playa Hotels & Resorts – took the opportunity to further enhance the guest experience with the launch of a brand new restaurant, beach bar, night club and hotel library. Guests can now enjoy light bites and grilled specialities poolside and beachfront at the La Yola Snack Grill, designed in the shape of a canoe; sip creative cocktails and healthy smoothies at a new beach bar; dance the night away at the PM PUB nightclub; and borrow a range of books from the lobby library – including a collection around Dominican culture – to read on their sun lounger.

Located just 15 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport and nearby the Punta Espada Golf Club, the Caribbean’s number one golf course, Sanctuary Cap Cana combines beautiful architecture and design with impeccable service and lavish accommodations. 324 refined suites include oceanfront villas; private island suites with exquisitely furnished terraces and private pools overlooking the sea; guest rooms with a coastal Mediterranean-inspired design; and the grand Castle Island Suite, a 5,500 sq ft two-level, two-bedroom suite on a private island with an expansive living room, dining room, and three indoor plunge pools with floor to ceiling windows.

Sanctuary Cap Cana offers curated epicurean experiences across five restaurants including 4 a la carte restaurants with cuisines such as seafood, Asian, a signature Italian and Steakhouse; a buffet restaurant open for daily breakfast and lunch; a coffee shop; deli; and eight bars. Sanctuary Town, located right across from the resort’s main lobby, acts as an extension for guests to dine and explore with distinctively designed venues offering a wide array of gastronomies from burgers, to sushi, to woodfired pizza, as well as live entertainment on selected days. A grand Spanish tavern crowns this special section open that is open not only for guests but for visitors and locals.

The property features six pools for relaxation, or if preferred, cabanas and beach sun chairs. Guests can soak up the sun, savour local and international beers or cocktails from the Beach Bar, and enjoy the impeccable personalized service.

For those seeking a sanctuary for the senses, the Sanctuary Spa lives up to its name with a sublime atmosphere of pure indulgence. A majestic oasis, the Sanctuary Spa showcases specialised treatments, hydro and cutting-edge therapies combined to offer the ultimate spa experience, including beauty shop services and couples massage cabins featuring a romantic bathtub that can be arranged with champagne and chocolate delights.

The resort is poised to be the backdrop for unequalled events facing the Caribbean Sea, with matchless facilities offering of approximate 46,000 sq ft of event space, 17 event rooms of indoor and outdoor venues, and 400-people capacity in its largest space.

Guests can discover through Sanctuary Cap Cana the Dominican Republic’s intrinsic beauty, an ideal destination with a variety of sophisticated activities that can be reserved through The Luxury Collection Concierge service, such as water sports, outdoor activities, shopping, and dinner reservations to once in lifetime Dominican adventures.
