Radisson Blu London, part of the Axiom Hospitality Group, is proud to announce that all nine of its design-led hotels have collectively achieved the Silver Green Tourism Accreditation, marking a significant milestone in their shared sustainability journey.
The certification recognises strong performance in environmental practices, ethical operations, and community engagement across the portfolio.
The Green Tourism Accreditation is one of the UK’s most respected sustainability certification programmes, assessing businesses against comprehensive criteria. Achieving Silver status recognises Radisson Blu London hotels’ strong sustainable practices in areas such as energy efficiency, waste reduction, and community engagement, while laying the foundation for progression toward Gold.
Each of the nine hotels, located in some of London’s most iconic neighbourhoods, has embedded sustainability into daily operations. Guided by a robust Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) framework, and supported by dedicated Green Teams, formed in 2024, the group has made significant strides across energy efficiency, waste reduction, and guest engagement.
In line with this progress, all nine hotels have also signed the Sustainable London Pledge, a citywide initiative encouraging responsible tourism and environmental stewardship.
Highlights of the group’s sustainability initiatives include:
- Partnering with DripDrop to plant one tree for every 10 guest stays.
- Prioritising local, ethical sourcing and eco-certified products.
- Targeting a 10% energy reduction by 2027 and 100% renewable electricity by 2030.
- Phasing out single-use plastics and aiming for zero landfill waste by 2026.
- Installing water-saving fixtures, exploring greywater reuse, and sharing carbon footprint data with guests.
- Partnering with DripDrop to plant one tree for every 10 guest stays.
- Supporting green travel with EV charging and cycle-to-work schemes.
Vasilina Vergilova, the sustainability lead across the portfolio, commented:
“This Silver Green Tourism Accreditation is a proud achievement for all nine of our London hotels. It reflects the dedication and teamwork across our properties to ensure we are not only meeting high standards but actively working to shape a more sustainable future for hospitality in the capital.”
Beyond environmental efforts, Radisson Blu London is equally committed to social responsibility. All team members undergo sustainability training, and the hotels actively support local causes through volunteering, fundraising, and community engagement initiatives. Guest wellbeing is also prioritised, with support platforms and inclusive facilities available across the portfolio.
Managed by Axiom Hospitality, Radisson Blu London supports the wider Radisson Hotel Group goal of achieving Net Zero by 2050, with science-based targets guiding its long-term strategy. This Silver accreditation affirms the group’s role as a responsible leader in London’s premium hospitality sector.
