Siemens has further strengthened its UK and Ireland sales team with the announcement of the appointment of Steve Knight as Regional Sales Manager for Fire Products.

Knight is responsible for the Midlands and South West of the UK and joins Siemens following two and a half years as Head of Sales & Marketing at Sheffield based BLE Smoke & Fire Curtains. Prior to that he had various roles at Knauf, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of gypsum-based building materials, finishing as Business Development Director where he was responsible primarily for bringing new products to market.

He will be responsible for selling the Siemens Cerberus PRO open protocol fire protection system, as well as the company’s recently launched ASD+ (Aspirating Smoke Detection) range. ASD+ features two new detectors – FDA261 and FDA262 – which are specifically designed to provide solutions for larger and more complex projects.

Commenting on his appointment, Knight said – “I was particularly impressed by the values that Siemens has as a business and the way it is structured to work closely with its partners. I am used to that approach, identifying potential projects and liaising with partnering businesses to get products and systems specified with architects and contractors.”
