For over 20 years Verde Coffee has been a staple within the coffee and hospitality industry. Starting off in a small industrial unit in Barry, South Wales selling machines and equipment to budding café owners and restaurateurs Verde quickly made a name for themselves. Showing customers old and new how putting the customers needs first is how customer service should be done. Over time the need to have a branded blend of coffee arose and after working with a small local roaster sales skyrocketed and Verde Coffee was born. Now, many years later, Verde Coffee has three signature blends and a decaf on offer.
Our Managing Director, Mark Harrison, has been working for the company practically from the beginning. Originally set-up by his step-father Andrew, Verde quickly become a family business. Andrew was a big coffee lover and an expert salesman, whereas Mark was more practical and enjoyed creating a website (the first in the business) and learning how to fix the machines. Oh and drinking all the coffee! Quickly becoming a director in an ever-growing company Mark took on many roles but has also believed in showing new starters the ways of the business himself. During the recent pandemic Mark was keen to not pass on growing costs to the customers and refused to raise prices during an already turbulent time. Keen to support local businesses and charities Mark will often go above and beyond to provide anything needed and donates resources to the local school within the village where are beans are grown every year. His experience within the industry over this time has moulded the business structure and is at the core of everything we do at Verde. A well-known figure within the industry Mark’s reputation and knowledge make Verde Coffee a go to place for anyone within the industry, be it for machines, advice, servicing or consumable products.
The key to our success is not just our exceptional coffee or our personalised customer service, it’s our in-house team of expert engineers. Our engineers are available to deliver, install and service your machine, as well as carry out any critical maintenance along the way. All of our engineers are fully trained by the Managing Director and all customer service staff have had some key training tips to help provide telephone support. Our engineers are also Barista trained and will conduct a full training session upon installation with up to 5 members of staff. This includes the general maintenance and cleaning of the machine and how to create mouth-watering drinks to make your customers come back for more.
Verde Coffee really does have ‘Everything from Beans to Machines’. One of our newest machines, and exclusive to just Verde customers within the UK, the Ottima 2.0 is available on our Free on Loan offer. This is an exclusive offer giving our customers free rental on a machine, grinder and equipment when they purchase their coffee from us each month. For a set price each month customers can be safe in the knowledge their machine is covered by maintenance and coffee is delivered automatically. This is perfect for a busy hotel. With each purchase or rental each customer receives a free Barista kit. This includes free equipment and consumables, ranging from Verde’s own hot chocolate, syrups and Barista must haves. Something new to our offering is a wide range of in-room product, Beautifully modern and elegant capsule machines, ready for use with our bio-degradable capsules, Sugar sticks, milk, and biscuits. We also have a wonderful range of crockery available. Special in-room packages are available to all new customers.
