Boutique hotel group, The Zetter, is delighted to launch its first ever wine collection, The Zetter Wines, offering those visiting their beautiful, cosy Parlours at The Zetter Clerkenwell and The Zetter Marylebone the opportunity to enjoy two incredible blends, exclusive only to The Zetter.

What has long set The Zetter apart is their phenomenal cocktails, creatively crafted in ‘The Lab’. The Zetter’s expert mixology team is dedicated to creating ground-breaking and unique cocktails that prioritise taste above all else, with an eruption of flavours with every sip. Now with the launch of the new wines, The Zetter promises to take guests’ drinks experience to new heights, as they expand their drinks portfolio, offering guests and locals alike the opportunity to sample London’s newest tipple in The Parlours of The Zetter Marylebone and The Zetter Clerkenwell.

The Zetter Wines comprises two fantastic vintages; The Seymour Blanc and The Wilhelmina Rouge. The Seymour Blanc is a delectable white wine; a blend of Chardonnay, Grenache Blanc and Muscat. Guests can expect a crisp, refreshing glass with lively acidity and vibrant citrus notes of lime, lemon and green apple. Those drinking this wine will be transported to the sunny coast of south west France; hailing from the Languedoc region, this wine has a subtle minerality and a hint of sea breeze which evokes its coastal origin.

The Wilhelmina Rouge is The Zetter’s new red wine, boasting a juicy profile that makes it incredibly easy to enjoy! It offers ripe blackberry and plum flavours, with a touch of spice and hints of black pepper. Its smooth tannins and medium body create a velvety texture, making it a perfect companion for casual sipping or pairing with charcuterie, lamb or pork. The Wilhelmina Rouge also has its origins in Languedoc and is a sumptuous blend of Carignan, Syrah and Grenache. This wine is the perfect pairing to a cosy autumn of winter evening by the impressive fireplaces in The Parlours.

The Zetter has collaborated with esteemed winemaker, Chris Muret, to create these two brand new wines. Before pursuing a career in oenology, Chris was a melon farmer, and has a strong background in producing the highest quality melons in the South of France, selling to some of the best restaurants in the region. Here, he came to realise that wine was much more interesting and lucrative. Renowned for producing some of the best Picpoul de Pinet, Chris’ work on The Zetter Wines promises a tasteful glass to be enjoyed by guests and locals alike visiting The Zetter Marylebone and The Zetter Clerkenwell. This blend was selected by The Zetter’s wine consultant, Bert Blaize.

The Zetter Wines features a distinctive label which has been hand-drawn in ink, designed by artist Chris Druitt (Bone Dry By Design). Taking inspiration from ‘the last supper’, the label features The Zetter’s dedicated team, who are drawn to be working behind the iconic Zetter bar. The artwork emulates the style of The Zetter itself; it encapsulates the curated yet quirky atmosphere of The Zetter properties which are renowned for their striking interior design. With The Zetter team front and centre, the label perfectly depicts the cohesive philosophy of The Zetter, where every member of the team is valued.

Chris Druitt, label designer for The Zetter Wines commented: ‘When designing the label for The Zetter Wines, I didn’t want to just show off the vintage but rather incorporate the ethos of The Zetter itself. Flavours are what give the wine its quality but the label is how that personality is shown. I wanted the team behind The Zetter to be front and centre, as without their hard work and dedication, this product wouldn’t exist.’

Anas El-Bahaaj, Group Head of Bars for The Zetter, added: ‘At The Zetter, our cocktails have always been what makes us unique. However, it’s the same combination of science and love that creates a great glass of wine. As a team, we were confident that we too could bring that special experience to our guests through a glass of wine, with its own distinct Zetter twist.’

The Zetter Wines will launch on 25th of April in The Dining Room at The Zetter Clerkenwell, with an exclusive event starting at 6pm, with speeches from Anas, who will introduce the new vintages, as well as Chris Druitt, who will share his vision behind what will be an iconic wine label. Attendees are invited to experience a tasting for themselves and sip, savour, and indulge in this latest offering.
