Tides and Sirens launch at Seamill Hydro Hotel with sweeping sea views of the Firth of Clyde
Dining by the wild Ayrshire coast has never looked better, as Seamill Hydro officially unveils Tides and Sirens today, with bookings now fully open via https://seamillhydro.co.uk/book-table/

RAD Hotel Group has revealed launch menus for both destination venues, offering guests everything from contemporary all-day Scottish dining from the land and shore, afternoon teas to Champagne by the glass, signature cocktails, and small plates, with unmatched sweeping sea views of the Firth of Clyde.
Tides, the hotel’s new 180-cover all-day dining restaurant, will serve a menu of modern Scottish flavours framed by floor-to-ceiling panoramic sea views and timeless surroundings. Open daily until 10 pm, the kitchen brigade is led by head chef Andrew Heaney, who has crafted a locally sourced menu full of classic dishes and signature showstoppers, such as the decadent Scottish seafood two-tier tower, made to share.
Guests can expect perfectly cooked individual beef Wellingtons, chimichurro-grilled chicken, extensive seafood options, coal-roasted chargrilled meats and burgers, alongside classic pies, seasonal starters, and indulgent desserts. A carefully considered drinks list completes the experience, featuring world wines, draught craft beers, and cocktails.
One of Tides' most distinctive design features is a custom-designed underwater mythical mural, which serves as a dramatic focal point in the restaurant. This artwork complements the luxurious interiors and soft, coastal-inspired colour palette, offering a modern and comfortable dining experience.
Tides has been designed to give guests a unique experience each time they visit. Echoing the moon’s influence on the sea, the beautiful interiors mirror the movement of water, with a buzzing social atmosphere as you watch day or night go by. From crashing waves during breakfast to sunset-lit dinners, the changing tides of the Firth of Clyde provide sweeping views and an ambience you won’t find anywhere else.
Sirens, the new intimate Champagne and cocktail lounge, is adjacent to the Tides restaurant. Accessed through an illuminated archway that opens into a stylish, speakeasy-inspired space.

Open from noon until late, every corner at Sirens tells a story with atmospheric lighting and elegant architectural features, setting the mood. The glamorous setting features a curated selection of classic cocktails, from a Neptune Gin Martini to Spritzes, alongside inventive signature serves.
Cocktail highlights include Siren Song, a floral mix of Ketel One, Sarti Rosa, cranberry, elderflower, and raspberry foam; a fresh Mermaid's Margarita enhanced with coconut water and edible pearl dust; and the Cherry Noir, made with Disaronno Amaretto, Buffalo Trace, cherry syrup, chocolate bitters, lemon and aquafaba.
Guests will also find Laurent-Perrier Champagne by the glass, with the option to add Kings of London caviar, an extensive no- and low-alcohol section, and a dedicated small-plates menu designed for relaxed, social dining.
Flooded with natural light during the day and softly glowing by night, Sirens looks across the gardens towards the Ayrshire coastline, offering guests a beautifully designed space to gather, unwind and extend the experience before or after dining at Tides.
Aaron Kyle, director at The RAD Hotel Group, said:
“A long time in the making, we’re absolutely delighted to open Tides and Sirens as part of a new food and drink offering at Seamill Hydro.
“It was our vision from the outset to create two distinctive destination venues that feel special in their own right, while making the most of this incredible coastal setting on our doorstep.
“Tides offers a truly memorable dining experience centred on quality Scottish produce and magnetic sea views, while Sirens brings new energy to the resort with a beautiful space to unwind, celebrate and connect with friends or loved ones over cocktails, Champagne or small plates.
“With bookings now open, it gives us great pleasure to welcome both guests and local visitors to experience these special venues for themselves.”
Tides (operating - late) and Sirens (open 12 noon to late) at Seamill Hydro are now open. Walk-ins are welcome, and online reservations can be made directly via the Seamill Hydro website with accommodation packages available. Rooms start from £129 per night for bed and breakfast.

MEET CAFÉ 1922
London’s iconic The Sloane Club opens new public café and wine bar in Chelsea - the new home of its signature ‘Sloane Pain au Suisse’

This April, The Sloane Club is set to open Café 1922, its first ever public-facing space in its 104-year history - and with it, a new neighbourhood café centred around handmade pastries, led by Executive Chef George Scott-Toft and newly appointed Head Baker, Luke Walsh-Landles.
Opening officially on 7th April, on Lower Sloane Street and designed by Russell Sage Studio, Café 1922 will be a relaxed, all-day café and bakery that transitions into a neighbourhood wine bar by night.
By day, Café 1922 will serve specialty coffee alongside its in-house pastries, breakfast dishes and light lunches, designed for everything from morning walks through Chelsea to informal meetings and quiet moments with a book. As evening approaches, the space will transition into a neighbourhood wine bar. Focusing on an authentic, seasonal and low intervention wine list the offering will include a variety of makers both established and emerging with a diverse by the glass selection as well as carafes. Bottles will be available to take away or enjoy in situ. Further enhancing the neighbourhood proposition will be a series of wine orientated events including regular tastings and intimate supper clubs.
At the very heart of Cafe 1922 is its bakery: with all viennoiserie and baked goods made in-house, by hand, each morning. The café’s signature pastry - and its most anticipated - is the Sloane Pain au Suisse, a savoury, laminated pastry inspired by The Sloane Club’s legendary Croque Monsieur, a members’ favourite that first appeared on the Club’s menu in 1922. Reimagined now by Head Baker, Luke Walsh-Landles, using the classic viennoiserie technique, the Sloane Pain au Suisse features flaky, cross-laminated croissant dough filled with béchamel, smoked ham and a blend of cheeses including Comte, Emmental and Gruyère. Only a limited number will be baked each day - and when they’re gone, they’re gone.
Located on the outer perimeter of The Sloane Club, Café 1922 marks the first time the historic Chelsea institution has opened a space directly to the public.
Leading the kitchen is Executive Chef George Scott-Toft, who oversees the menus for Café 1922 and The Sloane Club. Working alongside him is Head Baker Luke Walsh-Landles, who joins after eight years leading the bakery team at Boxcar Bakery in Marleybone. Together they have created a pastry programme focused on traditional techniques, seasonal ingredients and small-batch baking.
Established in 1922 by Princess Helena as the Ex-Service Women’s Club, The Sloane Club was founded as a place for women returning from the First World War to gather, support one another and share ideas. Named in tribute to that founding year, Café 1922 continues that spirit - conceived as a welcoming neighbourhood destination centred around conversation, craftsmanship and community.
The interiors, designed by Russell Sage Studio - the practice behind The Sloane Club’s recent £20 million refurbishment - combine warm textures and characterful materials with a relaxed, street-facing atmosphere. Large windows open the space to the neighbourhood, while outdoor tables spill onto Lower Sloane Street.
Neena Jivraj-Stevenson, Managing Director of The Sloane Club, said:
“Café 1922 is a natural evolution of what The Sloane Club has always stood for - community, connection and a sense of belonging. For the first time, we’re able to share that spirit more openly with our neighbours, creating a space that feels local, welcoming and part of the daily rhythm of Chelsea.”
Café 1922 will soft launch from 1st April, officially opening on 7th April, and will be open Sunday-Tuesday 7:30am-3:30pm, Wednesday-Saturday 7:30am - 8:30pm with a 5pm change of menus from all day to evening menu.
CONCEPT HOTEL GROUP ELEVATES MONGIBELLO IBIZA TO 5-STAR STATUS A New Era of Mediterranean Glamour
After three vibrant seasons shaping its vision of the Ibizan dolce vita, Mongibello Ibiza enters an exciting new chapter this summer as the hotel has been elevated from a 4-Star property to a 5-Star destination, marking a defining milestone for Concept Hotel Group and cementing Mongibello’s place among the island’s most distinctive lifestyle retreats.

Located in the quiet enclave of Cala Es Caló de S’Alga on the eastern coast of Santa Eulària, the 167-key Mongibello Ibiza has always evoked the effortless glamour of the Italian Riviera in the 1960s and 70s. With its cinematic spirit and unmistakable Ibizan soul, the hotel now enters a new phase, refined, elevated, and reimagined to meet the standards of five-star hospitality while preserving the playful elegance that has defined it since its opening.
This transformation reflects a thoughtful evolution rather than a reinvention. The hotel’s distinctive aesthetic, an homage to the charismatic carefree Ibiza of decades past, remains firmly intact, while a series of carefully curated upgrades enhances the experience of Mediterranean indulgence. With the move to 5-Star status, Mongibello introduces a heightened level of personalised service and refined comforts, designed to immerse guests even deeper in the island’s unique rhythm of life.

Among the new additions involve premium welcome amenities, 24-hour room service, and a Martini-style waiter service on the terrace suites, bringing a touch of old-world Riviera theatre to the guest experience. Slow mornings begin at a dedicated breakfast corner showcasing the best of local Ibizan produce and inviting guests to savour the island through its flavours.
The hotel’s central relationship with the sea has also been enhanced with the introduction of a personalised llaüt boat, available for guests to reserve and explore Ibiza’s coastline at their leisure. For those staying in the terrace view suites, the experience begins even before arrival, with complimentary airport transfers included as part of the stay.
Afternoons drift into long, sunlit lunches on the terrace at Sorella Terrazza, where Italian classics and effortless, sun-soaked cocktails set the tone under the Ibizan sky. As evening falls, the mood shifts. On Wednesdays, Lola’s, the hotel’s speakeasy-style bar, hosts lively karaoke nights for guests and locals alike, while weekends bring a rotating line-up of DJs, transforming the space into an intimate nightlife enclave that echoes the island’s legendary after-dark energy.
Programming carries seamlessly from weekdays into the weekend, with a playful and varied calendar of events including first-Monday-of-the-month poolside bingo, Friday night disco at Lola’s, and local wine and olive oil tastings. Guests can also enjoy Saturday yoga sessions (included with their stay), relaxed Sunday aperitivo hours, and monthly poolside film screenings under the stars.
Beyond the hotel itself, the surrounding environment has also evolved. The marine promenade in front of Mongibello has been renovated by the Santa Eulària City Council, an initiative launched in 2024 that strengthens the connection between the hotel and the Mediterranean, allowing guests to move effortlessly between the property and the sea.
Mongibello’s cultural and social calendar continues to expand, reinforcing its reputation as one of Ibiza’s most dynamic creative meeting points. Recent highlights include the Mango Kids campaign, collaborations with Loewe and Casa Maricruz, immersive experiences with Grey Goose, and a series of gastronomic events featuring acclaimed chefs.
As evening falls, the atmosphere shifts. At weekends, Lola’s, the hotel’s speakeasy-style bar, comes alive as DJs from a spectrum of genres transform the space into an intimate nightlife enclave, an echo of the island’s legendary after-dark energy.
The hotel’s aesthetic narrative remains central to its appeal. Recently recognised as a finalist for Best Interior Design 2025 at the Condé Nast Traveler Awards, Mongibello’s visual identity blends nostalgia and fantasy into an immersive world that is as much to be experienced as it is admired.
With its transition to 5-Star status, Mongibello Ibiza retains the essence that made it beloved while elevating every element of the guest journey. The result is a more sophisticated expression of its signature Mediterranean dream: an Ibizan dolce vita where elegance, pleasure, and imagination meet by the sea.
NOW OPEN: DOMAINE DES ETANGS, AUBERGE COLLECTION REOPENS FOR THE 2026 SEASON
Domaine des Etangs, Auberge Collection, reopens today following its annual winter closure. This reopening heralds a new chapter for the property, marked by the arrival of General Manager Damien Bastiat and Executive Chef Valentin Bouilleveaux. The pair have worked thoughtfully behind the scenes seeking to honour the estate’s enduring ethos while shaping a renewed vision - one that celebrates and preserves the singular beauty of this unspoilt corner of southwest France.

Steeped in history and surrounded by natural wilds, Domaine des Etangs, part of Auberge Collection’s growing European portfolio, comprises eleven rooms and suites within the Château and The Longère, alongside six independent one-to-five-bedroom Farmhouse Cottages. Located near Massignac in the Charente region of France, and set within 1,000 hectares of forest, lakes and pastureland, the estate is accessible within two hours by train from Paris, and the same distance by car from Bordeaux, making it an ideal base from which to explore the natural beauty of the Charente and Limousin regions.
Country Pursuits
Bringing a wealth of pastoral experience, Damien has introduced a series of outdoor, nature-driven pursuits that are focussed on embracing the bounty of the estate. From beekeeping and horse riding to biking, fishing, guided birdwatching, flower arranging, and photography workshops; these new experiences invite guests to fully immerse themselves in the estate’s expansive natural surroundings. They complement an existing array of activities - including gardening in the domaine’s kitchen garden, spa and wellbeing in the restored mill (Le Moulin), truffle hunting, and wine and cognac tastings - all reflecting Auberge Collection’s ethos of crafting deeply immersive, place-specific experiences that celebrate the individuality of each destination.
To further enrich the countryside experience, the property has partnered with renowned bootmaker Le Chameau, offering guests access to a fully stocked boot room for outdoor walks, alongside a bespoke experience set to be unveiled later this year. The collaboration invites guests of all ages to step into nature, exploring vast forests and winding pathways, pausing to encounter the estate’s rare Limousin cattle and local wildlife along the way. These moments of quiet discovery reflect Auberge’s ethos of the Joy of Wellbeing, encouraging a deeper sense of connection, contentment, and place. Anchored in the estate’s long-standing commitment to sustainability and biodiversity preservation, as it stands as a living sanctuary - an ideal setting for immersive exploration of the diverse flora, fauna, and wildlife that have long called the domaine home.
Embracing the Estate
Meanwhile, Chef Valentin also looks to embrace the bounty of the outdoors in his epicurean approach. His cooking will reflect the spirit of the estate - seasonal, local, and closely connected to the landscape - while maintaining its Michelin-starred standards at Dyades and bringing more relaxed, family style sharing options to Monade.
At the heart of his approach is a plant-led philosophy, with vegetables taking centre stage and meat, poultry, and freshwater fish used to complement rather than dominate each dish. This connection to the land is reinforced through hyper-local sourcing, with ingredients drawn from the estate’s kitchen garden, ponds, and nearby farms; soon, even estate-raised cattle will feature on the menu. Guests can also enjoy private tastings, culinary workshops, and bespoke dining experiences.
This new vision ushers the estate into a refined era of luxury farm hospitality, deepening its long term commitment to stewardship as it moves ever closer to becoming a micro self-sustaining ecosystem.
Finally, Damien Bastiat, General Manager at Domaine Des Etangs, Auberge Collection recounts:
‘It is an honour to join Domaine des Etangs at such a meaningful moment as we reopen our doors and welcome guests back to this extraordinary estate. Together with the team, we are committed to preserving the authenticity and spirit of the property, while introducing new thoughtful touches and experiences that elevate every stay.’
