Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) announced today the opening of Hyatt Regency London Blackfriars. Marking a key milestone in Hyatt’s strategic brand growth in the U.K. capital, the 205-room hotel is the 14th property in the country to participate in the World of Hyatt loyalty program, demonstrating Hyatt’s vision for the United Kingdom as a priority growth market within its diverse and evolving brand portfolio. Summer of BBQ at Stafford London

This summer, The Stafford London is offering BBQ menus from Lisa Goodwin-Allen alongside summer cocktails in the secluded courtyard of the hotel’s American Bar.

This summer, The Stafford London is firing up its Kamado Joe grills in the characterful cobbled courtyard of The American Bar. Summer of BBQ is now live, with the al fresco dining experience including delicious BBQ dishes created by Lisa Goodwin-Allen and a brand-new summer cocktail menu.

Lisa, who oversees the menu direction at The Stafford as well as being Executive Chef of Michelin-starred Northcote in Lancashire, has created an irresistible menu, using the finest British ingredients whilst also taking inspiration from the flavours of open-fire cooking around the world. All dishes are cooked on Kamado Joe’s premium ceramic grills. On the menu, there are starters such as Lamb pastrami with potato flatbread, cucumber and mint yoghurt and Cedar plank salmon with fennel salad and citrus crème fraîche. Main courses include Tandoori monkfish kebab with slaw and flatbread and Curried cauliflower steak with toasted almonds and pomegranate seeds. Spiced rum-glazed BBQ pineapple provides the perfect sweet treat to complete the summer dining experience.

A new cocktail list is also available alongside the BBQ menus, created by The American Bar’s Director of Mixology, Salvatore Megna. A unique sense of cosiness and comfort has been expertly achieved through the utilisation of natural materials and textures. Striking contemporary fireplaces adorn the suites and carefully designed lighting enhances the ambiance of refined luxury, at any time of the day.

The layout of the new Spa Garden Suites has been expertly designed in partnership with Architect Unwin Jones and each include a generous lobby area, a lavish 4-piece bathroom, a deluxe bedroom and a lounge adorned with expansive glazed windows that provide breath-taking views of the garden. Additionally, a cosy corner sofa and a captivating fireplace create a warm and inviting ambiance.

The design of the Spa Garden Suites take inspiration from the hotel’s natural environment with materials carefully chosen to tie in with the historic architecture of Armathwaite Hall, while adding a modern touch with timber finns and large expanses of glazing. Internally, the design scheme uses natural raw materials such as oak and stone to further root the rooms naturally within their surroundings. The suites have been designed to exude a sense of serenity and well-being, with calming tones such as muted greens, stormy grey blues and earthy terracottas, all inspired from the natural surrounding landscape.
